This Airbus A319 nose handwheel, also known as the steering tiller, is a genuine flight deck control removed from service during aircraft teardown. It’s the control pilots used to steer the aircraft on the ground while taxiing, giving it a very hands‑on role in every flight from gate to runway and back again. Unlike the sidestick used in the air, the steering tiller is all about ground handling, designed for fine, precise movement while manoeuvring the aircraft at low speeds. Because of that, it’s built to be robust and familiar to the touch, and this example shows the natural signs of use you’d expect from years of real‑world operation. Light wear and handling marks all add to its authenticity and character. For collectors and simulator builders, this is a fantastic piece to own. It’s instantly recognisable to anyone familiar with Airbus flight decks and works brilliantly as a display item on its own, mounted to a panel, or incorporated into a custom taxi‑control setup. Even on a shelf or desk, it clearly reads as genuine cockpit hardware. As with all reclaimed controls, this steering tiller is sold as memorabilia only and is not intended for operational aviation use. What You’re Getting
