This Boeing 737 glareshield is a genuine cockpit component removed from a working aircraft, taken from one of the most recognisable areas of the flight deck. Sitting just above the main instrument panel, the glareshield houses key systems and provides the structure pilots interact with constantly throughout a flight. Because of its position, it’s one of the defining features of the 737 cockpit. From the pilot’s seat, it frames the entire forward view and plays a central role during every phase of flight, from pre‑departure checks through to landing. This example has been reclaimed directly from service and carries all the natural signs of its working life. You may notice light wear, surface marks and general signs of use, all of which are exactly what you’d expect from a component that has seen years of regular operation. Nothing has been cleaned up to look new — it’s an authentic piece of flight deck hardware with real history behind it. Due to its size and shape, the glareshield makes a fantastic display piece. It works well mounted on a wall, incorporated into a simulator build, or used as a centrepiece in an aviation‑themed space. It’s the kind of item that instantly stands out and is recognised by anyone familiar with the 737 cockpit.
